Reed Smith and Gravity Stack earned a standout ranking for “New Business and Service Delivery Models.” This is the second consecutive year the international firm has earned this recognition. The FT also recognized Reed Smith as a “Most Innovative Law Firm: Business of Law” and for “Talent, Strategy and Changing Behaviors.”
Winners were announced last night in New York at a special awards ceremony, and are highlighted in this year’s FT North American Innovative Lawyers Report.
Gravity Stack offers solutions for e-discovery; smart contracts; deal and business project management; and legal operations support, which use artificial intelligence and document automation.
The Financial Times also gave Reed Smith a highly commended ranking for “Talent, Strategy and Changing Behaviors,” honoring Reed Smith’s Associate Life initiative for its “ramp-up, ramp-down” scheme, which allows employees the flexibility to increase or decrease their workload gradually before or after extended periods of leave.
Reed Smith also ranked seventh on the list of “Most Innovative Law Firms: Business of Law,” which is based on the sum of all scores measuring different categories of firm innovation in the business of law.
Entries were scored for originality, leadership and impact, then benchmarked against each other to arrive at the final rankings, which are based on law firm submissions, interviews with clients, senior lawyers, executives and experts.
Last year, the Financial Times awarded Reed Smith its highest ranking for “New Business and Service Delivery,” for its Quick Pricing Tool and for its Client Value Team.
