The Global Investigations Review‘s Women in Investigations 2021 survey highlights 100 exceptional women practicing law in the white-collar sector. These “remarkable women in the profession,” are “achieving great things in a competitive and notoriously tough area of law,” GIR says.
The publication highlights Seikaly’s success in obtaining acquittal for a client facing unfounded U.S. government allegations of conspiracy to engage in corrupt foreign practices.
Switching to the topic of more equity in the workplace, Seikaly says she believes “all women in law firms have to overcome significant challenges to succeed. There is so much unconscious bias … in terms of what they should and should not do and how their actions are perceived.”
The Global Investigations Review survey recognizes lawyers, consultants, in-house investigators, prosecutors and academics from the international investigations community. GIR analyzes developments in international investigations through news, features, surveys and benchmarking.
