Reed Smith’s Paris office opened in 2005 and after 17 years of successful growth now boasts 80 lawyers, including 24 partners. The office has extensive experience in acting for clients including large industrial groups, investment funds, financial institutions, public/state institutions, and individuals in connection with national or cross-border legal issues and transactions.

Most of the matters that the office works on have an international component, demonstrating its expertise in coordinating cross-border projects, and its lawyers also seek to deliver smart, technology-based solutions to meet the needs of clients.

In line with the firm’s global strategy, the Paris office focuses on a number of key industries including energy and natural resources, entertainment and media, financial services, life sciences and healthcare, and transportation.

Paris-based partners have a number of global leadership roles within Reed Smith, including Natasha Tardif and Daniel Kadar who sit on Reed Smith’s Executive Committee, and Peter Rosher who is Global Chair of Reed Smith’s International Arbitration practice.

The office is also committed to supporting ESG and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. Alongside actively supporting Reed Smith’s global initiatives in this area, the office also has a number of successful local projects. In 2021, the firm’s Paris-based lawyers spent 2,800 hours on pro bono work, a 15 per cent increase on 2020.
