HONG KONG – Global law firm Reed Smith today announces the hire of Arthur Tso in its Global Corporate Group and Hong Kong office.

Tso joins the firm from DLA Piper where he was partner and co-head of International Equity Capital Markets. His practice is focused on advising clients on capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, equity financing, outbound investments, corporate restructuring and regulatory compliance.

He represents issuers, shareholders, underwriters and sponsors on IPOs, including secondary and dual primary listings, on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Tso also represents listed companies, private equity funds, large corporations and professional investors on a wide range of transactions including public and private mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, general offers, privatisations, investments in equity and convertible instruments. He regularly advises listed issuers, controlling shareholders and SFC licensed persons on handling queries from the Hong Kong securities regulators.

He has previously worked at international law firms Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and Kirkland & Ellis as well as the legal and compliance department of Morgan Stanley.
