Christos is an associate based in Reed Smith's London office. He joined Reed Smith as a trainee in February 2018 and qualified as a solicitor in March 2020. Prior to joining Reed Smith, Christos worked on the commodities sales and trading desk of a global markets bank.
Christos works with commodities trading, mining and energy companies, as well as banks and funds. Christos has experience in both transactional matters and disputes within the energy and commodities sector, including in relation to the sale, transportation and financing of commodities.
Christos’ transactional experience includes assisting clients on trade and commodity finance matters, including project-based and structured commodity finance transactions. Christos also has experience drafting and negotiating various forms of trade, transportation and storage agreements, including GTCs and warehouse agreements. Christos also has experience of LNG trading documentation.
On the disputes side, Christos has advised clients in litigation and arbitration arising out of international trade and commodities structured finance related disputes, including fraud and sanctions related disputes. He has acted for clients on both High Court litigation and commercial arbitration, across a range of arbitral institutions.
Christos previously undertook secondments to a global commodities trader and a global bank, where he worked on a range of commodities trading and finance matters.
