Eric has led on the structuring and development of complex foreign investment matters in China, with some of them being first of their kind or multi-billion dollar joint venture projects. Over the past few years, Eric has also built a successful China outbound practice that has advised on or completed transactions for Chinese clients in multiple jurisdictions (including the UK, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Greece, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, South Africa, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Zambia, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Djibouti, Mongolia, Pakistan, and Indonesia). In the energy and natural resources sector, Eric has extensive experience in power, mining and oil & gas projects. 

Since 2013 Eric has been ranked as a highly regarded lawyer for M&A and project finance in China by IFLR1000. 

Prior to joining the firm, Eric was the Beijing office head of another international law firm. He also worked at a magic circle law firm for over 10 years in Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai and London.
