Matt’s practice involves advising from formation to exit, with an emphasis on early- and late-stage venture financings, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance matters. He regularly serves as outside general counsel to startup clients and investors.

Matt has broad experience within the venture ecosystem. Prior to joining Reed Smith, he was an investor at an early-stage venture capital firm. Before that, he was a corporate associate at another international law firm, where he focused his practice on emerging companies and venture capital.
