When

Thursday, September 10, 2026

7:45 a.m. EDT

Where

Fairmont Pittsburgh

510 Market St,

The conference brings together approximately 100–150 clients, attorneys, professional landmen, and other energy industry professionals to discuss significant cases, legal and regulatory developments, and emerging trends shaping onshore energy production, particularly oil and gas development in the Appalachian Basin. The program also provides opportunities for attendees to exchange perspectives and connect with peers across the region’s energy sector.

Energy and environmental litigation partner Megan Haines will co-chair the conference for the second consecutive year.

Real estate partner Jeff Wilhelm will speak on “Hot Topics and Data Center Development: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly” on Thursday, September 10, from 2:25–3:10 p.m. ET. The panel will examine the status of currently permitted data center projects, growing opposition to development, legislative responses, and emerging permitting litigation.

In addition to Megan and Jeff, Reed Smith lawyers attending the conference include Lucas Liben, Jason Newman, Nicolle Snyder Bagnell, Justin Werner, Thomas Galligan, Gina Kantos, and Jessica Barnes. The team includes Energy & Natural Resources and Real Estate lawyers from Reed Smith’s Pittsburgh and Houston offices who advise clients across the energy sector.
