We are pleased to share that Hong Kong senior partner Lianjun Li will be speaking at the Celebration of UNCITRAL@60 at Hong Kong Legal Week, taking place on 4 November 2026 (Wednesday) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hong Kong.
Co-organised by the UNCITRAL Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific and the Hong Kong International Legal Talents Training Academy of the Department of Justice, HKSAR, the conference will explore the role of UNCITRAL instruments in building legal frameworks for the digital economy, as part of Hong Kong Legal Week 2026.
Lianjun will join Panel 4, “Plugging a Gap in the International Legal Regime for the Protection of Maritime Creditors — the United Nations Convention on the International Effects of Judicial Sales of Ships (New York, 2022) (the ‘Beijing Convention on the Judicial Sale of Ships’)”, from 15:35 to 16:50.
Lianjun will share his perspectives on the Beijing Convention and its place within the existing admiralty law framework, including how it may leverage digital tools to enhance transparency in the enforcement of maritime claims.
