Maritime Week Mock Arbitration & Mediation

The mock tribunal in the mock arbitration will hear the Charterers’ challenge to its jurisdiction. The same dispute will then go to a mock mediation while that challenge is still pending, showing how arbitration and mediation interact in maritime disputes.

Cheri Leung (senior associate) and Gabriel Wan (associate) of our Hong Kong disputes team will act as Counsel for the Owners in the Mock Arbitration. Donald Sham (partner) co-leads the organisation of the event as a committee member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (East Asia Branch).
