Papering AI: Contracting strategies for a fast-moving AI market

Join us for a practical discussion of how AI contracting strategies are changing – and what companies should be focused on now when buying, building, or selling AI-enabled products and services.

When

Tuesday, September 22, 2026

3-4 p.m. in your local time

We will explore key pressure points in AI agreements, including contracting structure, training data and data-use rights, use of foundation models and third-party providers, service levels and performance commitments, privacy and cybersecurity obligations, and high-risk provisions such as limitations of liability and indemnification.

The program will address these issues from both sides of the table: organizations procuring AI solutions and companies developing or commercializing AI offerings. Attendees will leave with a sharper understanding of the contract terms that matter most, the risks that standard technology paper may miss, and practical approaches for negotiating AI agreements in a market that continues to move quickly.

CLE information: This program is presumptively approved for 1.0 CLE credit in California, Connecticut, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, and West Virginia. Applications for CLE credit will be filed in Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, and Virginia. Attendees who are licensed in other jurisdictions will receive a uniform certificate of attendance, but Reed Smith only provides credit for the states listed. Please allow four to six weeks after the program to receive a certificate of attendance.
