David specialises in banking, corporate and insolvency disputes nationally and internationally and, in particular, in cases involving international conflict of law issues. Most recently he has been acting (a) for the Trustees in two complex and substantial Trust disputes in the Bahamas; (b) for liquidators in the English Courts pursuing claims, including freezing order relief, arising from the alleged misappropriation of significant corporate funds involving a Swiss Bank and parties in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Iran; (c) in a jurisdiction dispute to determine whether the English Courts or an ICC Tribunal should hear claims relating to events in England and Kazakhstan; and (d) proceedings in the English Court of Appeal as to the jurisdiction of the English High Court to grant injunctions restraining overseas court proceedings issued in alleged breach of a clause providing for arbitration in London.
