Laura-May is an associate in the Commercial Disputes Group. Laura-May has worked on a range of commercial disputes as well as regulatory work.
Laura-May’s practice has focused on financial services regulatory enforcement and related litigation. She has experience on both the defendant and claimant side and has worked on cases before the Court of Appeal and the High Court. On the regulatory side her experience includes representing financial institutions and individuals in contentious regulatory proceedings commenced by the Financial Conduct Authority and other regulators, including the European Commission and the UK Competition Authorities. Laura-May has conducted internal investigations and prepared individuals for appearance in public enquiries.
Laura-May has completed two secondments to Lloyds Banking Group - first as a final seat trainee in the Retail Litigation team from February to September 2014, and most recently as an associate in the Retail and Consumer Finance team from March to September 2015.
Laura-May has worked on a range of general commercial disputes including breach of contract actions, professional negligence cases and supervising solicitor related litigation.
