Anthony qualified as a solicitor in Australia in 2003, in Hong Kong in 2006, in England and Wales in 2008, and in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area of China in 2023. He joined the firm in 2003 and focuses on corporate finance, advising (among others) listed companies and financial institutions, as well as their respective senior management and significant shareholders. His experience covers a wide range of complex capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings (H share listings, Main Board migrations, etc.), public and private M&A, secondary market issuances, joint ventures, private equity investments, and other general commercial work. Anthony has also advised on various regulatory investigations involving listed companies and individuals, in connection with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the SFC, and the AFRC. Anthony is fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).

Representative matters

Advising Shanghai Fosun New Medicine Research Company Limited (“Fosun New Medicine”), a subsidiary of Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd. (stock code: 2196), in relation to its proposal for the pre-conditional privatisation of Shanghai Henlius Biotech, Inc. (“Henlius”, stock code: 2696) by Fosun New Medicine as an offeror by way of merger by absorption of Henlius. The proposal valued Henlius at HK$13.37 billion (US$1.71 billion).

Advising China Renaissance Securities (Hong Kong) Limited, as sole placing agent, overall coordinator and capital market intermediary, on the placing of up to 10,000,000 new shares of RoboSense Technology Co., Ltd (Stock Code: 2498) to institutional and corporate professional investors. The total gross proceeds from the placing are expected to be approximately HK$277.5 million.
Advising a joint venture formed by China City Gas (a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Gas Holdings Limited), Vantage Energy (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wah Kwong Maritime Transport Holdings Limited) and Fortune Clean Energy (a wholly-owned subsidiary of CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Company Limited) for the construction of LNG carriers on its shareholders’ agreement and the formation of the JV to develop LNG-related business.
