A seasoned litigator and trial lawyer, Brad focuses his practice on complex and commercial litigation surrounding misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of restrictive covenants, other business competition matters, licensing and infringement litigation, shareholder disputes, and business and contract litigation. Selected through peer review for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© for Commercial Litigation, Brad has litigated before many federal and state courts across the country and has handled several jury trials, bench trials, evidentiary hearings, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings through verdict. As Co-Chair of the firm’s Injunctions, Temporary Relief & Equivalents Team, he has obtained and defeated requests for expedited injunctive relief, and is regularly retained to lead the litigation and strategy for such matters. Brad additionally has handled appellate matters before the Pennsylvania and West Virginia appellate courts, and the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Third, Sixth, and Ninth Circuits.

Representative matters

Obtained a complete dismissal of all claims on behalf of a broker of logistics services, brought by competing provider of logistics services in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, in a case involving allegations of misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, unfair competition and tortious interference with contract.
Defended C-Suite level executives in two-week defamation trial that resulted in directed verdict for our clients.
Defended an oilfield service company against claims for misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition, breach of contract, and expedited injunctive relief, resulting in full dismissal of case and recovery of attorneys’ fees for our client.
