Emily is an associate in the Energy and Natural Resources Group, focusing her practice on oil and gas litigation. She has represented clients in state and federal courts in a variety of matters, including lease and contract disputes, pipeline condemnations, royalty actions and property claims. Emily has experience at all stages of the litigation process, including drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, and appellate briefs, conducting discovery, negotiating settlements, and advocating at mediations, hearings and trial.

Representative matters

Defended various oil and gas producers from claims regarding the deduction of post-production costs from royalty payments, including in arbitration and class actions.
Part of team defending against class action alleging trespass for underground natural gas storage.
Defended oil and gas producer from claim of deficient bonus payment.
