Jim joined the firm in May 2013 as a partner in the Global Corporate Group, and is a leading lawyer in our U.S. fund formation team. Jim’s practice focuses primarily on the capital raising and transactional activities of private equity firms and private companies. He has represented fund sponsors in forming a broad variety of private equity funds, including real asset funds, growth equity funds, buyout funds, impact investing funds, mezzanine funds, and funds of funds.

Representing a GCC-based fund sponsor in the formation of a $500+ million buyout fund, which received Terrapinn's "Fund of the Year" award for 2007.
Representing a U.S.-based fund sponsor in the formation of a $400+ million private equity fund targeting investment in core capital assets.
Representing a GCC-based fund sponsor in the formation of three Shari'a-compliant real estate funds investing in the United States, China, India and the MENA region.
