Rita is an associate in the Corporate Department of our Hong Kong office. She joined our firm as a trainee solicitor in 2022 and was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2024. Rita also obtained the PRC Legal Professional Qualification in 2013 (currently non-practising) and the PRC Patent Attorney Qualification in 2019.

Acting for HKEx-listed Guangdong Investment Limited (stock code: 270) on its group realignment and shareholding consolidation exercise with a HK$543 million in-specie distribution of shares in another HKEx-listed company, Guangdong Land Holdings Limited (stock code: 124). The exercise would have triggered a mandatory general offer obligation under the Hong Kong Takeovers Code, if not for the team successfully obtaining two waivers from the Securities and Futures Commission. Both Guangdong Investment Limited and Guangdong Land Holdings Limited are under the control of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province in the PRC.
Advising BaTeLab Co., Ltd. on the placing of 3,000,000 new H shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under a general mandate. The net proceeds from the placing amounted to approximately HK$116.58 million. The placing was completed on 28 May, 2025.
