Teddy joined Reed Smith Richards Butler in 2023. His practice spans court litigation and arbitration. He has represented clients in court in contractual claims, fraud recovery, interlocutory injunction applications, and shareholder disputes. He has also conducted arbitrations under various rules including the HKIAC, CIETAC, ICC, UNCITRAL and SCC rules, and was appointed as an HKIAC tribunal secretary in cases involving private equity investment claims and debt recovery.

Acted for a listed company and its financial controller in resisting receiver’s claim for conspiracy to defraud, after a defaulted shareholder transferred away secured assets of the company.
Acted for a state enterprise in a SCC arbitration in Sweden arising from a dispute between shareholders of a Sino-U.S. joint venture corporation over a piece of PRC land valued at RMB 100 million.
Acted for founder of an education enterprise in a HKIAC arbitration in defending a Korean private equity investor’s claim for breach of non-compete obligations under pre-IPO restructuring contracts.
Acted for private equity funds in commencing HKIAC arbitration against company issuer under a series of warrant agreements. Obtained interim measures from the PRC Intermediate People’s Court through the PRC-HK Arrangement on Interim Measures.
Acted for a local food manufacturer in commencing HKIAC arbitration against its U.S. distributor over a distributorship contract dispute. Proceedings adopted UNCITRAL Rules.
