Georgios (George) is a member of the firm’s State Tax Group. George’s practice is focused on tax controversy (including federal and state tax audits, appeals, and judicial litigation) and unclaimed property (including advising clients through unclaimed property audit defense, voluntary disclosure, compliance matters, and litigation).
Prior to joining Reed Smith, George served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Cary Douglas Pugh of the United States Tax Court. George graduated from the James E. Beasley School of Law at Temple University where he earned his Certificate in Trial Advocacy and served as the Lead Research Editor and Write-On Coordinator for the Temple Law Review. During law school, George served as a Federal Judicial Honors Program extern for the Honorable Marjorie O. Rendell of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and a judicial intern for the Honorable R. Barclay Surrick of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. George received his B.S. in Accounting from Saint Joseph’s University.
