Each April, staff at Reed Smith participate in an annual evaluation process based on our Staff CareeRS competency-based approach. Because we believe that career development is a year-round, on-going series of conversations, we encourage our supervisors to provide real-time feedback and guidance during the year, in addition to an annual performance review.
Reed Smith offers a comprehensive compensation program for staff members, including competitive salaries, merit increases based on competencies, and a bonus program. We are somewhat unique in that our staff bonus program is performance-based and offers several different opportunities for cash incentives and recognition. Staff can be rewarded for stellar efforts with an Above and Beyond Spot Bonus, Employee of the Quarter honors, and/or an Annual Core Values in Action Bonus.
