The workplace has changed dramatically in 2020 because of COVID-19 and many companies that are able to have shifted to a mostly remote workforce. As cases surge this fall, companies are once again updating their policies to allow employees to telecommute well into 2021. Telecommuting creates myriad issues from a human resources, legal and tax perspective, especially if employees normally cross state lines to work.

This webinar will look at the employment and tax concerns employers should plan for in the coming months (and longer), including:

  • State tax and withholding issues
  • Employment concerns, specifically managing leave and wage and hour laws and keeping your policies compliant
  • Legislative and regulatory developments

This program is presumptively approved for 1.0 CLE credit in California, Connecticut, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas and West Virginia. Applications for CLE credit will be filed in Delaware, Florida, Ohio, and Virginia.  Attendees who are licensed in other jurisdictions will receive a uniform certificate of attendance but Reed Smith only provides credit for the states listed.  Please allow 4-6 weeks after the program to receive a certificate of attendance.
