NEW YORK – Global law firm Reed Smith today announced the addition of Julia Boyd as a partner in its Global Corporate Group in New York. She was formerly a member of the Private Equity Group at Goodwin Procter, which she joined in 2013.

Boyd represents private equity funds, venture capital funds and portfolio companies in their corporate transactions, including international and domestic mergers, asset and stock acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, growth equity investments, bolt-ons, and joint ventures. She also represents companies with governance matters and other general corporate and commercial matters. In addition, she has advised clients in a broad range of industries including health care, technology, education, financial services, entertainment, consumer goods, manufacturing, and general industrials.
