Ten lawyers from global law firm Reed Smith earned individual rankings in the inaugural edition of a new Chambers guide for the Greater China region. The first edition of the Chambers and Partners Greater China Region (2022) guide also ranks the firm’s practices in five categories.

Reed Smith practices were ranked in five categories – by region, then practice area – one of which, China Dispute Resolution: Litigation (International Firms), was a new practice area entry. The other four practice areas were migrated from the prior Chambers Asia-Pacific guide. Reed Smith earned a Band 1 ranking for China Corporate/M&A: Highly Regarded (International Firms).

 The five ranked areas are:

  • China Corporate/M&A: Highly Regarded (International Firms) (Band 1)
  • China Dispute Resolution: Litigation (International Firms) (new)
  • China Shipping: Finance (International Firms)
  • China Shipping: Litigation (International Firms)

Further, the publication ranked 10 Reed Smith lawyers in 11 practice areas. Hong Kong litigation partner Lianjun Li was listed for two categories, one of which — China Shipping: Litigation (International Firms) — was a Band 1 ranking. Anthony Woo earned a new individual ranking; the other lawyers maintained their individual rankings.
