DALLAS – Global law firm Reed Smith represented 21Seeds, a rapidly growing company known for its flavor-infused tequila, in its sale to Diageo.

Founded in 2019 by three women entrepreneurs, the 21Seeds brand features juice-infused tequila in three flavors: Valencia Orange, Grapefruit Hibiscus and Cucumber Jalapeño. The company founders, who have been operating the business, will continue to actively work on the business and collaborate with the Diageo North America team to further build upon the brand’s success.

The Reed Smith deal team was led by partner Lawrence Waks (Dallas/Austin), associate Jennifer Riso (Washington, D.C.) and paralegal Dave Brichler (Austin). The team also included partners Leo Hitt (Pittsburgh), Dan McClain and Peter Emmi (New York), and associate Cam Viney (Pittsburgh).

More information about the deal is available in the Diageo news release.
