Global law firm Reed Smith has once again been named by Latinvex among its top international law firms for 2022, including in international arbitration.

Reed Smith has extensive arbitration experience in Latin America and in established and emerging markets in Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and North America, combining deep sector knowledge with significant technical skills in international arbitration and dispute resolution. Reed Smith’s continued inclusion in these rankings is testament to the firm’s extensive knowledge of cultures of individual countries in Latin America, the region’s arbitration institutions and their rules.

This recognition from Latinvex follows praise for the firm’s arbitration team in the Legal 500 Latin America 2022 directory, which noted that Reed Smith has “The best Latin American arbitration team in the industry.”

Reed Smith was similarly recognized in 2021 as being one of the top arbitration firms in the region by Latinvex.

Additionally, in 2021, international arbitration partners José Astigarraga (former Chair of Reed Smith’s Global International Arbitration practice) and Francisco Rivero (head of Reed Smith’s Latin America Business Team and a former co-chair of the Global International Arbitration practice) were named by Latinvex in its listing of “Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers,” an accolade that both attorneys have received multiple times. Furthermore, Miami-based arbitration and commercial litigation partner Cristina Cárdenas was selected as one of Latin America’s “Top 100 Female Lawyers,” alongside banking and finance partner Lee Ann Dillon.
