Peter is a registered patent attorney who advises clients on a wide range of intellectual property law, with an emphasis on patent litigation and prosecution. His dual bachelor degrees in electrical and computer engineering provide him with a deep understanding of the field and insight on how best to protect his client's innovations.
His technical background provides him the opportunity to tackle complex patent matters, as he regularly assists clients by drafting and filing U.S. patent applications related to electrical and mechanical technologies. Peter's patent litigation practice is equally matched, as he has experience drafting complaints and invalidity and infringement contentions, as well as petitions for post-grant proceedings. He has been involved in patent litigations before various federal district courts, the International Trade Commission and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Peter gained valuable insight working in-house as an extern for Whirlpool Corporations intellectual property department, giving him a comprehensive understanding from a client’s perspective. Prior to law school, Peter worked as a transmission engineer for a municipal public power agency, where he performed contingency analysis to identify electric system deficiencies. While there he focused on long-term transmission planning and compliance with NERC and FERC standards. He was also actively involved in several large scale projects, participating in management decisions and providing members with plant performance metrics.
