Michael’s practice focuses on general banking, in which he represents lenders and borrowers in syndicated and bilateral loan transactions, including real estate finance, debt refinancing, leveraged acquisition finance, pre-IPO financings and general credit facilities in domestic and overseas markets.

Michael also has experience in asset financings, including second-hand ship sale and purchase and newbuilding construction transactions.

Michael is ranked as an “Up and Coming” partner in 2023 and 2024 by Chambers & Partners for the “Banking & Finance sector (Greater China Region)” sector and has been recommended by Legal 500 Asia Pacific for the “Banking and Finance (Hong Kong)” sector, including being individually recognised in its 2023 edition as being “sensible, intelligent, pragmatic” and being able to “get the job done with minimum of fuss”.
