Charmian Aw, a counsel in our Global Corporate Group, is acknowledged for her work on Singapore data protection, compliance and enforcement. She advises on AI solutions, transitioning to electronic platforms, cloud migration, and procurement/integration of IT systems. She spearheaded multijurisdictional projects on data regulatory compliance, data governance, cybersecurity readiness, and cross-border data transfers. It is her first time on the list.

Calvin Chan, a partner in the Global Regulatory Enforcement Group, is recognized for his work in arbitration and mediation, and he appears on the list for the seventh consecutive year. In addition to his skill in arbitration and litigation, Chan is also a trusted authority on internal investigations.

Kyri Evagora is the firm’s managing partner for the Asia-Pacific region, having moved from New York to Singapore in 2020 to take on that role. He was leader of the Global Energy and Natural Resources industry Group from 2007 to 2017; and vice chair of the Business and Finance Department from 2017 to 2020. He is also on the list for the first time.

Matthew Gorman, a partner in the Energy and Natural Resources Group, receives the accolade for his work in capital markets law for the ninth year in a row. Gorman advises clients on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and equity issues.

Richard Lovell, a partner in the Transportation Industry Group, is again recognized for shipping and maritime law, having first been listed in 2008. Lovell is a specialist Admiralty lawyer, and amongst other things, he has written on forum shopping in Asia.
