He has a broad experience in dry shipping matters, acting for P&I Clubs, Owners and Charterers. He is mainly involved in contentious work, advising on multi-jurisdictional and multi-party charterparty and bill of lading disputes, cargo claims and related security and enforcement issues and marine insurance.
Mike's recent work has also included advising on issues related to Ebola, the insolvency of an international bunker supplier, piracy, disputes under shipbuilding contracts and liability for occupational diseases.
He has experience in both High Court litigation and arbitration (LMAA, LCIA, GAFTA and FOSFA) and has participated in several mediations.
Mike has previously spent six months working in our Piraeus office and has worked in the firm’s Ship Finance and Energy and Natural Resources departments.
