Drawing on almost three decades of experience in the renewable energy sector, Henry provides a broad range of advice to owners, investors, and developers of energy generation projects and transmission projects.
A substantial amount of his work relates to the purchase and sale of power plants. These transactions include single projects and portfolios of projects and occur both during the development stage and after commercial operation, including transactions for projects that will be repowered.
Henry also handles all types of matters related to the development of power projects, including power purchase agreements, tax credit transfers, renewable credit sales agreements, O&M, asset management and construction management agreements, real estate, and co-tenancy agreements. He often works on the structuring of projects that are constructed in multiple phases with different lenders and tax equity investors, allowing for the joint use of transmission lines, substations, interconnection agreements, and shared permits.
Henry also works extensively with on-site power projects for commercial and industrial clients. This work includes rooftop and other leases for solar projects, offtake contracts with tenants, solar equipment leasing, and virtual power purchase agreements.
Henry also works on other types of industrial development projects, including the development of steel mills, investments in chemical manufacturing facilities and auto manufacturing facilities, and stormwater system retrofit projects. This work includes site development work, contracts for the supply of raw materials and equipment, transportation of goods, and the supply and processing of chemicals.
