Tom has extensive experience dealing with disputes and regulatory issues, particularly involving the financial services industry, and regularly acts for banks and financial services institutions on the advisory side as well as on contentious matters.

Representative matters

Representing a New York-headquartered international bank, in its capacity as corporate trustee, in relation to claims totaling over $1 billion brought by various hedge fund holders of GDP-linked securities for alleged breaches of payment obligations.
Acting for an issuer of CMBS in relation to claims by noteholders against a special servicer for the alleged sale of assets at an undervalue to connected companies in breach of the servicing agreement.
Acting for four international (U.S., German, French and South African) syndicated banks in relation to claims against a Nigerian oil company for non-payment of fees due under the facility documentation.
