On behalf of Wirtschaftswoche, the Handelsblatt Research Institute surveyed more than 4,000 lawyers in over 210 law firms. The lawyers were asked to name their most esteemed peers and law firms. The final list was evaluated by an expert panel of judges, who agreed Reed Smith had the leading M&A practice in Germany.

Frankfurt office managing partner Rolf Hünermann and partner Octavio de Sousa were also individually recognised as ‘Top Lawyers 2020’ for their M&A work.
