Providing relief from the pandemic
German COVID-19 tracking app
Our German Data Protection team is working alongside tech companies, start-ups, and law firms to support the development of a revolutionary new app which allows users to input if they have had coronavirus symptoms. The app then shares the individual’s location from the previous 14 days to help mitigate the spread.
Procurement of PPE
Our lawyers in China and Brussels are working together to help source and distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) globally, as well as navigate the shipping of the PPE, which involves giving legal advice on product specifications, customs, medical certification, payment internationally, and export controls.
Free parking for NHS staff
Our lawyers assisted long-standing client Telereal Trillium on the legal aspects of enabling it to give its 50+ car parking spaces to NHS staff free of charge, providing safe and separate access for staff at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square in London – the UK’s largest dedicated neurological and neurosurgical hospital.
Meals of Gratitude
One of our U.S. lawyers has been assisting the not-for-profit Meals of Gratitude on legal matters as well as helping it to apply for tax-exempt status. Meals of Gratitude was founded in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and provides healthy, delicious meals made with locally sourced produce to frontline health care providers and support staff in the Bay Area.
