Catriona has experience in both contentious and transactional cross-jurisdictional matters. She has advised a range of commercial clients and individuals in complex commercial litigation, including shareholder, insurance, and corporate crime disputes. Catriona has also worked on a wide range of dry shipping matters, acting for owners, charterers, and P&I clubs in both High Court proceedings and LMAA arbitration. She has advised on cargo claims, shipbuilding contracts, and charterparty and bill of lading disputes.
Catriona trained in our London office and spent time in the New York office on secondment, where she focused on asset finance and corporate transactions involving English, New York and Marshall Islands law.
Catriona is actively involved in pro bono work, including co-coordinating Reed Smith’s Liberty Letter Writing Clinic, and volunteering on projects with Refugee Rescue, School Consent Project, Queen Mary Advice Clinic, Amicus and Reprieve.
She is also a member of the firm’s PRISM LGBTQ+ committee, Multi-Cultural Network committee, and Racial Equality Working Group.
