Caitlin has over 10 years of experience defending life sciences companies and health care providers in high-stakes, complex litigation and regulatory enforcement matters, including government investigations of Medicare and Medicaid billing; federal and state False Claims Act cases, including matters involving the federal Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute; complex contract disputes; medical device litigation; mass tort litigation; medical malpractice suits; and other regulatory matters in the health care industry. She has represented a wide variety of health care clients, including pharmacies, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, and individual physicians.
                 
                
                    Caitlin is skilled in defending matters from start to finish, including preparing and executing overall strategy, managing large teams, and analyzing complex facts and allegations and then distilling them into understandable oral and written advocacy.
In addition to litigation disputes regulatory enforcement matters, Catlin regularly provides her clients with regulatory and compliance guidance under federal and state anti-kickback statutes and other fraud and abuse authorities.
Caitlin has been named a Rising Star in Health Care by Texas Super Lawyers, among other professional honors and awards. She regularly speaks on topics that affect her clients’ business, such as emerging risks in the medical device industry and developments related to the False Claims Act and fraud-and-abuse laws. She has also served in leadership roles for the Houston Bar Association’s Health Law Section.
During law school, Caitlin served as an intern to the Honorable Nancy F. Atlas in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and to the Honorable H. Christopher Mott in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.
