Together with our Reed Smith experts Christian Leuthner and Dr. Andreas Splittgerber as well as our guest speaker and former team colleague Florian Schwind, Legal Engineer at Harvey, we would like to discuss current developments around the use of artificial intelligence in legal departments and exchange practical experiences from corporate practice.

The focus is on the following topics in particular:

• Important questions when onboarding new solutions, such as provider contracts, pricing models and the connection to internal systems such as e-mail infrastructures
• The legal framework for the use of AI, in particular confidentiality, data protection and professional requirements
• Practical challenges in everyday work, including team communication, quality assurance and collaboration between legal departments and external lawyers
• Use cases from practice: Where does AI create measurable added value today – for example, in contract review, research or the evaluation of large volumes of documents – and what are its limits?
