Global law firm Reed Smith was listed for 31 practice areas in the Legal 500 EMEA 2023, in rankings announced by the publisher today. This includes first-time entries in eight practice categories in Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, and the United Arab Emirates. In addition, eight lawyers from the firm were endorsed in seven practice categories.

As has been the case since 2020, Reed Smith ranked in Tier 1 for Kazakhstan Dispute Resolution and for United Arab Emirates Construction; and for the first time, Reed Smith received a Tier 1 ranking for France Media and Entertainment: Music.

About the firm’s music practice in France, Legal 500 said: “Reed Smith has notable experience in music law, working domestically and internationally on the full spectrum of matters, namely representing high-profile clients in the music industry.”

About the firm’s dispute resolution abilities in Kazakhstan, the publisher said: “The Astana-based dispute resolution department … focuses on international arbitration proceedings and cross-border disputes,” adding that the practice’s “particular expertise lies with investor-state arbitration.”
