Waseem is a consultant in Reed Smith’s Global Commercial Disputes Group, with close to 25 years of legal experience gained across both the UK and the Gulf region. He is a qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) and a registered legal consultant with the Dubai Legal Affairs Department.
Waseem’s key experience includes advising on major corporate and commercial transactions, working closely with major family groups and HNWs on a variety of matters, including corporatisation/ transformation, succession, restructuring, tax and family protocols.
He has also spent many years in the regulatory investigations field, advising on matters including disputes, complex tax litigation and investigations.
Waseem also advises regional governments on major policy shifts and reform, including legislative drafting.
He is one of the few lawyers in the region with public sector regulatory experience, including in Financial Services and Healthcare.
