Paul focuses his practice on all types of intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks and copyrights. With a degree in physics, he brings a unique technical perspective to his work, allowing him to represent clients in diverse industries, including network security, cloud-based computing, fintech, industrial scale manufacturing, entertainment and media and consumer goods.
Paul regularly prepares and prosecutes patent and trademark applications at the USPTO as well as in China, Europe, and Canada. He assists his clients by providing strategic advice on filing patent and trademark applications in both domestic and foreign jurisdictions.
His litigation practice is equally matched, as Paul has represented clients in patent infringement matters in several jurisdictions and proceedings in the International Trade Commission. He works closely with clients and technical experts on cases, including infringement actions, invalidity and claim construction.
A fierce advocate for justice, Paul is involved in Reed Smith’s criminal justice reform pro bono initiatives.
