Karnvir advises lenders and borrowers (including private equity sponsors) in respect of their national or international debt facilities. Karnvir’s practice mainly focuses on acquisition and leverage finance, bilateral and syndicated lending, direct lending and unitranche and super senior debt structures.  Karnvir also has experience in fund finance.

Karnvir spent the first part of his career at Barclays Bank PLC (Investment Bank) supporting the debt finance and derivatives desks.

Representative matters

Advising a tech company on its US$1 billion acquisition of a legal tech AI target, including a US$625 million senior term leveraged and revolving credit debt facility.
Advising an aviation company on its £450 million disposal of a portfolio of UK airports to a private equity sponsor.
Advising a mid-market private equity sponsor on its £93 million acquisition of an estate management business, including £67 million leveraged debt facilities from a private credit fund. The acquisition was initially financed by a credit fund as a unitranche lender, with a UK bank acceding and providing a super senior revolving credit facility.
