Robert C. Fox

His work spans fund formation, M&A, financing, portfolio company matters, and exits. Rob draws on an extensive network across the private equity ecosystem to help clients develop strategic relationships, identify transaction opportunities, and connect with the Reed Smith lawyers and capabilities best suited to their needs. Through the firm’s global platform, he also helps extend those relationships and opportunities across markets. 

Rob brings a background in private equity, M&A, investment origination, and financial services. He has built sponsor coverage and M&A sourcing platforms, developed relationships between emerging managers and institutional investors, and created industry programs that bring together participants across the private capital market. He also has direct investment-side experience sourcing lower- and middle-market platform and add-on acquisitions. 

Earlier in his career, Rob led investment operations for the Los Angeles office of a $12 billion registered investment advisor serving executives, family offices, and ultra-high-net-worth clients. He previously held FINRA Series 6, 7, 9, 10, 63, and 65 licenses.
