Thomas is a counsel in the Entertainment and Media Industry Group and specializes in information technology law. He provides comprehensive legal advice to mid-sized and major IT providers and companies in both the domestic and international markets, within the scope of IT and technology law.

His particular expertise covers the drafting and negotiating of contracts covering software, digital media, IT projects, e-commerce and distribution as well as outsourcing and cloud projects. In addition, Thomas counsels clients in data protection matters and in intellectual property protection. He also serves as legal counsel in project crises and asserts his clients' interests in court.

His clients include not only software and technology companies but also clients from such industries as mechanical engineering, automotive, marketing, financial services and health care.

Thomas has authored a number of publications on IT Law and he regularly lectures with DeutscheAnwaltAkademie (DAA) teaching seminars for IT lawyers. The JUVE Handbook of Commercial Law Firms ranks the Munich IT-team continuously for “IT: Transaction / Outsourcing”. Most recently, Legal 500 Germany 2015 and Best Lawyers in Germany 2014 recognized Thomas again in the category "Information Technology".
