Since 1990, George has devoted a significant portion of his practice to the representation of policyholders in substantial insurance coverage matters in state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate level, as well as in private arbitrations, mediations and negotiations. In particular, George has focused on disputes involving coverage of: (1) product liability and toxic tort claims; (2) first-party property/business interruption claims; and (3) for infringement of intellectual property and related business torts (including antitrust liabilities).

Additionally, George has been uniquely successful in pursuing statutory and common-law bad faith claims against insurers, most notably in the Mine Safety Appliances Company v. North River Insurance Company matter referenced below, in which he served as the principal architect of a bad faith claim that resulted in a non-jury award of $46.9 million in statutory bad faith damages.
