A.J. is an experienced environmental, health and safety (EHS) lawyer, with extensive in-house experience. Prior to joining Reed Smith, A.J. served as in-house health, safety, environmental, and security counsel at one of the world’s largest plastics, chemicals, and refining companies with several petrochemical plants and refineries located in Texas. While in-house, A.J. provided regulatory compliance advice under federal and Texas state EHS laws and defended enforcement actions brought by federal, state, and local authorities, including US EPA, TCEQ, the Texas Attorney General, and Harris County.
