Nick is an associate in the transportation litigation team.
He acts for P&I Clubs, shipowners and charterers in respect of disputes under charter parties, contracts of affreightment, bills of lading and sale contracts, including advising on related security, enforcement and insurance issues.
His experience includes litigation in the High Court and the Court of Appeal, arbitration under the leading institutional rules, and various forms of mediation (including Early Intervention Mediation and Early Neutral Evaluation). Nick's commercial work includes advising and assisting clients on contractual terms in shipping, multimodal, sale-of-goods and storage contracts.
Outside trade law, Nick has worked on a number of inquests including two enhanced Middleton inquests. He also has experience of judicial review proceedings before the Upper Tribunal, High Court and Court of Appeal, involving the application of the European Convention on Human Rights.
Nick is qualified in England and Wales.
