The report, BTI Legal Innovation and Technology Outlook 2019, recognizes 52 firms as trailblazers in reshaping the legal industry to better serve clients. It is BTI’s first in-depth look into legal innovation from the client perspective.
BTI’s report is based on interviews with more than 359 general counsel and top legal decision makers at companies with $1 billion or more in revenue. The research identified firms that are leaders in innovation and technology in four areas:
- BTI Movers & Shakers – firms disrupting the legal industry by making strategic and tactical moves that others don't
- BTI Innovation Builders – firms bringing change to the legal market through new technology, services, strategies, or structures
- BTI Client Experience Innovators – firms making strategic changes in client service to deliver a world-class client experience
- BTI Law Firm Technology Leaders – firms embracing and using technology in new and different ways to better help meet clients' needs
BTI’s top ranking of Reed Smith comes on the heels of new innovative programs and initiatives the firm has launched over the past year.
