The firm also was recognized in eight practice areas, a significant increase from the three rankings the firm earned last year.
The firm repeated its Tier 1 showing in New Jersey M&A, and Pennsylvania M&A categories. It also picked up a new Tier 1 ranking in Pennsylvania for Restructuring and Insolvency, a new category for the firm.
Other new rankings included “Other Notables” in California for Banking, and in Delaware for Restructuring and Insolvency. The firm also garnered a new Fourth-Tier ranking in Texas for M&A, and a Third-Tier ranking in Illinois for Banking.
Individual attorneys
Nine individual attorneys were ranked as “Highly Regarded.” Repeat winners are: Tad Bromley, Diane Frenier, and Betty Yan (New Jersey M&A); Lee Ann Dillon (New York Banking); Jennifer Cheng (New York M&A); and Kristin Wells (Pennsylvania M&A). Three attorneys – Seth Hemming (Illinois M&A), Eric Schaffer (Pennsylvania Restructuring and Insolvency), and Aron Izower – won the accolade for the first time. Izower won for two categories: New York Capital Markets and New York M&A.
This ranking means they are highly regarded by their peers and possess a strong transactional record, and have received positive client feedback.
Research included interviews with hundreds of law firms across the country, along with case studies and discussions with clients of the firms.
This is the second year the IFLR is examining individual states in depth. Nationwide U.S. rankings continue to be part of the IFLR1000 Global rankings and will be released later this year. Launched in 1987, the IFLR1000 focuses on financial and corporate law.
