PITTSBURGH – Reed Smith today announced Jason E. Hazlewood, a partner in the firm’s Global Commercial Disputes Group, has taken over as Managing Partner of Reed Smith’s Pittsburgh office. Hazlewood succeeds Ron Francis, who returns to full-time corporate practice.

“Ron is a seasoned leader and the Pittsburgh office has benefited tremendously from his experience and judgment, particularly as our workforce shifted to remote working. He has been a strong advocate for our Racial Equity Action Plan, with a focus on building a stronger sense of community and understanding. Ron previously led the firm's U.S. corporate and securities practice in our Hong Kong office and is widely recognized as a leading corporate lawyer,” said Doug Cameron, Reed Smith’s Managing Partner – Americas and a member of the Senior Management Team. “Jason is a proven leader and a natural fit for this role. We are grateful for Ron’s past contributions and for Jason’s enthusiasm in continuing the Pittsburgh tradition of professional excellence, commitment to diversity and exceptional community service.”

Hazlewood joined Reed Smith in 2006. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation.

“With a 144-year history, Reed Smith is a respected pillar of the Pittsburgh community and enjoys a well-earned stellar reputation within the legal profession. I am honored to be the standard bearer for the firm in the community and continue the work of those who have created our outstanding legacy.”
