Alison has advised on arbitrations seated in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, London and Geneva involving a range of arbitral rules (DIAC, ADCCAC, LCIA, DIFC-LCIA, LCAM, ICC and UNCITRAL) and has assisted clients in proceedings before dispute boards and adjudication panels.

Alison has also advised international clients on commercial disputes in the Dubai courts (including the Court of First Instance, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court) and a real estate matter in the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, working closely with local counsel.

In addition to her litigious work, Alison has advised local and international clients on a range of corporate, labour and regulatory matters in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, including multiple legislation and policy drafting engagements for government entities.

Alison qualified as a lawyer in New South Wales and spent her early career in Sydney advising blue chip clients in the telecommunications, infrastructure and mining industries at one of Australia’s premier law firms.
